Valentine’s Day creating a surge in marriage ceremonies in Riverside County

The Riverside County Clerk’s Office anticipates a busy Valentine’s Day.

The day of love brings many couples in to tie the knot.

The Riverside County office reports being fully booked, with the Palm Desert location having approximately 80% of appointments filled as well.

“We anticipate being completely sold out,” said Steven Nguyen, communications director for the Riverside County Clerk’s Office. “If you come tomorrow without a pre-booked appointment, we will definitely accommodate walk-ins at all of our locations.”

The clerk’s office aims to make this Valentine’s Day special for all couples who choose to say ‘I do’.

“Our staff is focused on providing a personal touch,” said Nguyen. “This is the biggest day in some people’s lives.”

To marry in Riverside County, all you need is a partner, a witness, a government ID, and a completed marriage application.

Ceremonies at the Palm Desert Clerk’s Office are priced at $85.00.
