PSPD Confirms child abducted out of Garden Grove located safely in Palm Springs

Palm Springs Police have confirmed that the child abducted in Garden Grove earlier today has been located in Palm Springs. “We would have to defer additional questions to Garden Grove PD, but we did assist with recovering the child near the Amtrak Station,” says Lt. Araiza of Palm Springs Police.

Just before 4 p.m. police also announced that Harmony had been found with her mother at a bus station in Palm Springs. Her mother and another suspect were under arrest for kidnapping.

Earlier today An Amber Alert was issued for a 2-year-old girl who was abducted today in the Garden Grove area, the child was last seen around Harbor and Garden Grove boulevards.

Authorities said the child, Harmony Talley, was taken at about 11:15 a.m., allegedly by Ileane Shelton, 21, who may be driving a white Toyota Rav4 with an unknown license plate. Harmony was described as about 2 feet tall, weighing 50 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a purple dress.

Shelton is 5-foot-2 and about 180 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was wearing a black sweater, black pants and white Nike shoes, police say. The relationship between Harmony and Shelton, if any, was not immediately known. Anyone who sees the pair was asked to call 911.
