Man found shot to death along State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – Authorities in Broward County are investigating a deadly shooting.

It happened near the 4300 block of North State Road 7 shortly after 7 p.m. Monday in Lauderdale Lakes.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a shooting and upon arrival, found a man who had been shot.

Paramedics quickly responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Surveillance video shows several people coming out of a white Range Rover before the shooting.

One person was seen running as a man in a black T-shirt followed behind. The man in the black shirt was identified by police as the victim in the case.

He is eventually seen falling to the ground as the people in the SUV drive away.

No other information regarding the shooting has been released.

Former Lauderdale Lakes Commissioner Gloria Lewis identified the victim as a former student of hers, 23-year-old Cedarien Camper.
