Increasing clouds this weekend, but dry and warm weather remains

The area of low pressure to our west is helping steer clouds across Southern California. We saw a cloudy start to this Friday but more clouds will move into view Saturday.

Despite the additional clouds, the ridge of high pressure will keep temperatures slightly above average for the weekend. A very limited chance for showers joins the forecast late Monday night, but the better chance for rain remains west of the mountains.

February’s full moon peaks early Saturday morning. At its farthest distance from the Earth, the moon will be more than 255,000 miles away. This makes it a “micro moon” rather than the more commonly discussed “super moon” when it’s closer to Earth. If you capture any photos of the full moon, send them to [email protected]!
