Businesses damaged in Palm Desert shooting

Several Palm Desert businesses saw windows damaged in a Thursday night shooting.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies were investigating the incident reported shortly before 10:00 p.m. in the area of Highway 111 and Portola. 

Deputies said the suspect fired several shots and that multiple businesses received damage from the shooting near Fashion Nails, and Golden Smoke Shop next to an ARCO gas station.

Nobody was reported injured, and deputies tell KESQ News Channel 3 that one person was detained for questioning.

No arrests were announced, and an investigation continues.
