MCSO: Kentucky woman arrested after pointing knife at man’s neck in Florida Keys

A 39-year-old intoxicated woman from Kentucky was arrested early Saturday morning after deputies said she pointed a knife at a man’s neck while he was driving in Key Largo.

According to MCSO Spokesperson Adam Linhardt, Shannon Michelle Justice, of Mount Sterling, is facing charges of aggravated assault and battery.

MCSO deputies were called to the Winn-Dixie parking lot in Key Largo just before 1:30 a.m. after receiving a disturbance call.

The 55-year-old male victim stated Justice hit him repeatedly in the face and pointed a knife at his neck while he was attempting to drive, according to Linhardt.

Authorities said Justice was intoxicated at the time of the incident and a knife was found in her possession after conducting a search during her arrest.

Justice’s bond has not been determined at this time, but jail records show her arraignment date is set for January 24, 2024.
